She trained in Germany, starting in 2013, under the Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie framework, with additional training in neurofeedback, and gradually focused her work on clinical hypnosis. She works within a clear scope and refers out when something falls outside it.

Choosing a Certified Professional

It’s possible to use the title “hypnotherapist” in Alberta without having any training or professional credentials, so it’s important to find a practitioner who is a member of ARCH Canada, one of the established organizations in Canada that trains, regulates, and certifies clinical hypnotherapists. ARCH Canada is dedicated to the ethical use of clinical hypnotherapy and trains hypnotherapists to practice with the utmost respect and absolute positive regard for clients.

From the ARCH Canada website: “Membership is only attainable in the Association once a candidate has met the rigorous standardized academic training, clinical experience and the supervision requirements as outlined in our Standards of Registration and Standards of Practice. Prospective members are also reviewed through criminal records check and must remain ‘members in good standing’ with ARCH to continue to be accredited.”
